The NanoEnergy lab presents at the CI Symposium in Milan

Several members of the NanoEnergy lab traveled to Milan to attend the 40th International Symposium of the Combustion Institute to present their work.

  • Kevin Dong gave a presentation on Aspects of fundamental reaction kinetics and legacy combustion properties in data-assimilated combustion reaction model development.
  • Ethan Genter gave a presentation on Regularity of detonation cellular structures in high activation energy hydrocarbon mixtures.
  • Amitesh Jayaraman gave a presentation on Collision enhancement in shocks and its implications on gas phase detonations: a molecular dynamics and gas-kinetic theory study.
  • Nick Kateris presented a poster on Strong shock induced liquid droplet drag and vaporization.
  • Nick Montes gave a presentation on Resolving flame-formed carbon nanoparticle structure through conductive atomic force microscopy
  • Group alumnus Jackson Crane gave a presentation on Statistics of detonation confinement: 1D, 2D, and 3D simulations in hydrogen-oxygen.
  • Group alumnus Xian Shi gave a presentation on Probing vibrational nonequilibrium in detonations with ozone.
